An assessment-type not typically associated with the testing of pilot candidates, the Arctic Shores test battery is currently being used to evaluate applicants for the primary stage of the Jet2 FlightPath cadet scheme.
Most notably, this assessment-type differentiates itself from others offered by test providers such as Aon and Sova by providing Gamified Assessments which make the process of candidate engagement fun and enjoyable.
Evaluation is typically undertaken online, with candidates utilising a laptop or desktop computer to complete test modules, negating the requirement for any specialist hardware or peripherals.
The Arctic Shores™ Pilot Assessment includes the following modules:

The Tiles test module incorporated into the Arctic Shores™ pilot assessment evaluates a candidate's memory recall ability, requiring the candidate to memorise and recollection a sequence of coloured tiles
At random, and in latter stages, Distraction Tiles may appear which must be avoided.
With candidate progression, this test module increases in difficulty by increasing that sequence of tiles to be memorised.
No. of Tasks: Approx. 40
Time Available: Infinite
Use our Tiles activity in both Normal Mode and Training Mode to benefit from a realistic simulation of the above module.

The Order test module incorporated into the Arctic Shores™ pilot assessment evaluates a candidate's ability to investigate, identify and replicate a pattern, by interrogating three frames which contain a variety of different shapes.
This unique test module requires that the candidate construct the shape which proceeds those already shown by choosing the colour, size, orientation and location of the shape.
No. of Questions: Infinite
Time Available: 5, 10 or 15 Minutes
Use our Order activity in both Normal Mode and Training Mode to engage with realistic simulations of the above module.

The Tickets test module incorporated into the Arctic Shores™ pilot assessment evaluates candidate ability to concentrate.
In this test module, the candidate must sort coloured and numbered shapes by answering Yes or No to two distinct questions.
Those questions displayed in the module will vary with increasing difficulty dependent on candidate progression.
No. of Rounds: 20, 50 or 80
Time Available: Variable Time Limits
Use our Tickets activity in both Normal Mode and Training Mode to engage with realistic simulations of the above module.

The Balloons test module incorporated into the Arctic Shores™ pilot assessment evaluates candidate ability in logic.
In this test module, the candidate must balance risk with reward as they choose to inflate balloons of varying colours for money, or to exchange that money earned to avoid risk.
Each balloon carries a different probability of popping, and both the pumping speed and pace actioned by the candidate can influence risk in this challenging module.
No. of Rounds: 10, 25 or 45
Time Available: Infinite
Use our Balloons activity in both Normal Mode and Training Mode to benefit from realistic simulations of the above module.

The Arrows test module incorporated into the Arctic Shores™ pilot assessment evaluates candidate monitoring ability
In particular, this test module relies on an implementation of the well-known Flanker Test, requiring a candidate to focus their attention a central arrow and to confirm when conditions are met.
Four stimuli may be shown, requiring different responses from the candidate when engaging with this surprisingly difficult test module.
No. of Rounds: 25, 50 or 80
Time Available: Infinite
Use our Tickets activity in both Normal Mode and Training Mode to engage with realistic simulations of the above module.

The Security test module incorporated in the Arctic Shores™ pilot assessment evaluates candidate ability in reaction time and risk aversion.
In this test module, the candidate is required to successfully enter digits in to a Circular Lock Mechanism which may be chosen by a steadily rotating element.
As difficulty increases with candidate progression through this test module, an option to transition to a new lock mechanism may be used if the candidate deems the risk of failure too severe. Appropriate actions made by the candidate to avoid risk may levy rewards, whereas unnecessary risk aversion may lead to penalties within this engaging test module.
No. of Rounds: 5, 10 or 20
Time Available: Infinite
Use our Security activity in both Normal Mode and Training Mode to benefit from realistic simulations of the above module.

The Energy test module incorporated in the Arctic Shores™ pilot assessment evaluates a candidate's ability in logic, risk aversion and pattern recognition.
In this test module, an energy level must be increased by actioning the levers of four generators depicted on screen.
Each generator carries a variable probability of supplying or consuming power, thus requiring a candidate to interrogate and understand those risks associated with each generator, to enable successful achievement of the energy-generating objective.
No. of Lever Pulls: 25, 50 or 100
Time Available: Infinite
Use our Energy activity in both Normal Mode and Training Mode to benefit from realistic simulations of the above module.
