This test module comprises questioning in areas such as complex operation, conversion of units, fractions and percentages, estimation of mean and mode, as well as probability, powers, roots, calculation of areas, volumes and spaces, and also includes questioning which require understanding of equations used in speed, distance and time calculations.

The Deviation Indicator test module incorporated in the PILAPT® pilot assessment evaluates candidate hand-to-eye coordination (also known as motor control) competencies, requiring candidate input to centre an erratically moving crosshair on to a fixed target.

In addition to the above task, this test module also requires concurrent completion of a secondary task, requiring the candidate to listen to a series of numbers.

This test module specifically evaluates Compensatory Tracking, a key competency required of the professional pilot role.

The Concentration test module incorporated in the PILAPT® pilot assessment evaluates candidate monitoring ability and the ability to concentrate, requiring observation of a changing collection of coloured letters or symbols contained within a grid.

In this test module, the candidate must confirm when those coloured letters or symbols shown correspond with a horizontal and vertical axis.

The Hands test module incorporated in the PILAPT® pilot assessment evaluates candidate ability in spatial transformation, requiring observation of audio statements and subsequent interrogation of three figures, each holding a square or circle, to confirm the quantity of those figures which comply with the statement.

The Patterns test module incorporated in the PILAPT® pilot assessment evaluates candidate ability to concentrate, requiring interrogation of two images and subsequent identification of the presence of an outlined shape.

In this test module, each of the two images are comprised of a number of connecting lines, and either one, both or neither of the images contain an outlined shape.

In this test module, the two secondary tasks require the candidate to monitor a changing countdown, announced audibly and observe a collection of changing coloured shapes.
